Bus Aide

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. (CPLC) invites applications for the Bus Aide position. The role supports our Early Childhood Development (ECD) programs by ensuring children travel safely, stay engaged, and receive enriching activities during bus rides.

• Assist the Bus Driver/Facilities Custodian in enforcing safety rules and regulations on the bus.
• Provide educational activities that complement classroom learning.
• Offer clear directives to children regarding conduct and safety.
• Actively supervise children at all times, maintaining vigilance in all environments.
• Maintain health and safety standards to create an optimal learning environment.
• Facilitate health practices to keep children safe on the bus, outdoors, and indoors.

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• CDA preferred.
• At least six months experience and/or training with children ages 0‑5 preferred.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to follow through on assigned tasks.
• Positive and clear interaction with children, parents, volunteers, and staff.
• Basic computer literacy and skills.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Valid AZ Driver’s License free of restrictions or AZ State .
