Overview
We are seeking a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) to serve as a Mental Health Coordinator within our facility. This role is responsible for planning, providing, and overseeing non-medical clinical mental health services to inmates. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical acumen, ethical practice, and the ability to function independently in a secure facility environment.

Schedule: M-F
Shift: Day shifts, typically 5x8s, though the facility is also open to 4x10 or 3x12 schedules.
Pay Range: $2400-$2800/ Gross Weekly DOE
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive mental health screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and review of records.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on clinical evaluation and functional assessment.
- Provide evidence-based individual and group counseling services, crisis intervention, and mental health support.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Apply advanced knowledge of psychological theories and counseling techniques to address a range of inmate mental health needs.
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all applicable legal, ethical, and professional standards.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or a related clinical field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum five (5) years of clinical experience, including at least two (2) years in a comparable correctional or institutional setting.
- Active and unrestricted LCSW license in the state of practice.
- Valid driver’s license preferred (unless otherwise required by contract or statute).
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical, and crisis management skills.
- Ability to work independently within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Adherence to ethical guidelines and a strong understanding of confidentiality standards in correctional settings.
- Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation practices.
