Overview
The Power Automation and Controls (PAC) Engineering Manager will be a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) responsible for uptime, continuous improvement, troubleshooting, leading and training operators on all automation equipment within the Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Warehouse.
This individual will be working with state-of-the-art industrial controls hardware and will be collaborating with a diverse team to help deliver automation processes to the highest standards.
The PAC Engineer will be expected to work in a start-up environment with all types of trades, standing up sophisticated Material Handling Automation Equipment and transition to Site Engineering to manage equipment; lead a team of technical individuals; lead loss elimination and performance improvement activities around the automation; build technical capability and competency the team he/she will be leading; build capability within the operations organization around the fundamental skill sets needed to support the equipment;
lead technical team daily direction setting meetings; manage and own electrical safety program for the site; manage and own functional safety program for the site; be the sites electrical safety officer; and support daily Operations.
This individual will not only be a technical SME, but a technical leader and people leader to help create a sustainable organization that can support and progress the organization towards a future with automation.

Business Requirements:
- Strong technical background to help troubleshoot and eliminate tough problems, as well as implement innovative solutions.
- Managing and updating key OT equipment in the form of bugs, firmware updates, outages etc.
- Manage and coordinate controls hardware upgrades, obsolesce, and failures.
- Manage the day-to-day operations and systems needs for all automation equipment.
- Managing a team of technical individuals and warehouse team members that will be operating and maintaining the automation systems and equipment.
- Responsible for all PLC, Drive, Decentralized IO module, etc. troubleshooting.
- Comfortable with developing code for PLC application in ladder logic, function block or structured text.
- Comfortable with troubleshooting and develop visualization screens (HMI’s, Thin Clients, etc.) in FTView Studio, Aveva, etc.
- Capable of developing a Root Cause Analysis and drive work in systematic and structured form.
- Capable of interfacing with Warehouse Management Systems or Manufacturing Execution Systems
- Basic to intermediate understanding and application of Lean Manufacturing Practices.
- Capable of using AutoCAD Electrical to maintain and make updates to electrical schematics.
