As an Inventory Control Lead, you will assist in maintaining a high level of inventory by resolving inventory variances and discrepancies for incoming as well as existing products that arise during the day-to-day operations at the Chick-fil-A Supply Distribution Center (DC) in Elsmere, KY. Responsibilities- Timely submission and tracking of damage claims to supplier and/or distribution partners
- Verify and maintain records on inventory adjustments, movements and transfers, request backup documentation, and resolve discrepancies
- Assist in inventory related projects, such as disposals, donations, relocation of inventory, and consolidation/organization
- Perform assorted administrative duties, such as document management, reporting, filing, and scheduling
- Provide timely feedback to inventory related emails and correspondence
- Ensure inventory accuracy through the completion of effective control techniques including internal audits, cycle and audit counts.
- Identify, quarantine, and report damaged or supplier recalled/withdrawn product to assure it is accurately captured and removed from inventory
- Ensure pick availability by responding to and finding a solution for any issue with a location error, product attributes, or location attributes.
- Ensure the appropriate handling, removal, disposal, and processing of damaged or expired product
- Maintain warehouse slot integrity and responsible for slotting new or seasonal items.
- Assist in the development of localized policies and procedures as related to the control of inventory
- Assist with root cause analysis and offer solutions related to inventory inaccuracies
- Work with team members to reinforce the importance of inventory accuracy
- Logical and analytical skills
- Intermediate proficiency in computer skills; working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook
- Familiarity and comfort with navigating and executing in the WMS system
- Proven record of working independently with little oversight
- Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized
- High degree of initiative and urgency
- Self-Starter and comfortable with ambiguity

- Work in extreme temperature conditions for extended periods of time (0 degrees Fahrenheit)
- Complete physically demanding work, including frequently lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally moving with mechanical assistance up to 2,000 pounds
- Reach, bend, and stoop while performing work
- Work while standing for several hours at a time
- Prepare for a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays and rotating shifts
- Education:
High School or equivalent - 2 years of warehouse experience
- Certifications:
NA
- 3+ years of warehouse experience
- Experience in inventory control, claims management, or similar job functions is a plus
- Material handling equipment proficiency
