Are you an experienced teacher or tutor with a passion for supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)?
TP Tutors, part of Teaching Personnel, is seeking dedicated SEN 1:1 Tutors to provide personalised tuition to primary and secondary-aged pupils across Ely (CB6), Littleport, Soham, Chatteris, March, Witchford, Sutton, Haddenham, Mepal, Stretham, and the surrounding areas
. Sessions take place in pupils' homes, schools, or community settings during school hours.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils who require tailored educational provision due to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language needs, dyslexia, or other additional learning needs. You'll play a key role in helping pupils build confidence, re-engage with education, and achieve meaningful academic progress through personalised 1:1 support.
Competitive pay, depending on experience, qualifications, the pupil's needs, and the tuition assignment.

- Travel to pupils' homes, schools, or community venues across Ely (CB6) and the surrounding areas is required
- Deliver engaging and personalised 1:1 tuition tailored to each pupil's individual needs.
- Support both primary and secondary-aged pupils with a range of SEND needs.
- Adapt teaching strategies and resources to meet individual learning requirements.
- Plan lessons that promote academic progress, confidence, and independence.
- Monitor pupil progress and complete session reports after each lesson.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, schools, and local authorities.
- Encourage pupils to develop resilience, engagement, and a positive attitude towards learning.
- A minimum of two years' UK teaching experience.
- Experience supporting primary and/or secondary-aged children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum and differentiated teaching strategies.
- Excellent communication, behaviour management, and relationship‑building skills.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or the ability to travel reliably between tuition locations.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or another recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, speech and language needs, dyslexia, or other additional needs.
- Experience delivering tuition within alternative provision, specialist settings, or pupils' homes.
- Knowledge of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE and/or Key Stage 2 SATs preparation.
