Tax Manager – Private Client (Confidential Professional Services Firm)

A well-established professional services firm is looking to appoint a Tax Manager to join its growing Private Client team in Cambridgeshire
. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to take ownership of a varied portfolio of private clients, including trusts, high net worth individuals, and family structures.

This Private Client Tax Manager role in Cambridgeshire offers a strong blend of compliance oversight and high-level advisory work, alongside leadership responsibilities within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of private clients, including trusts, HNWIs, and family offices
  • Reviewing and overseeing personal tax returns, trust returns, and IHT submissions
  • Providing advisory support on CGT, residence issues, succession planning, and trusts
  • Leading Statutory Residence Test (SRT) analysis for non-resident clients
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients and senior stakeholders
  • Supporting partners on complex advisory projects
  • Ensuring high-quality delivery and compliance with deadlines
  • Mentoring and supporting junior team members
Candidate Profile
  • CTA qualified (or equivalent), with strong experience in private client tax
  • Solid background in both compliance and advisory work
  • Strong technical knowledge of trusts, personal tax, and CGT
  • Confident and effective communicator with clients and colleagues
  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Able to manage a complex and varied workload
