Skilled Worker

Ely, Cambridgeshire

£26,452 - £27,844 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30

We have an opportunity for a Skilled Worker in Ely, to join our Planned Team (East). There are around 10 in the team but some lone working will be required. The purpose of this role is to provide an effective maintenance and repairs service across one or more basic level trade operations that meet contract and customer expectations.

The role of
Skilled Worker
will include:

• C arry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in accordance with contract and service specifications
• P rovide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
• Responds positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery to meet customer expectations, in accordance with contract and service specifications
• Resolve problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed in line with agreed processes and within contract and service specifications
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and stocks are replenished as needed, in accordance with the agreed requisition procedures and budgets

Skills and experiences:

• City & Guilds qualification, NVQ 2 or relevant experience in a relevant trade (or willing to work towards)
• Recent experience of undertaking a similar role
• Some experience of working to deadlines and prioritising work loads
• Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
• Working knowledge of the application of Health and Safety legislation
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence.
