We provide on-board liquid hydrogen energy storage and fuel cell power system integration services to unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) manufacturers. We work with hydrogen suppliers to provide liquid hydrogen refueling services for UAV operators.
Job Type: Full-Time
Hourly Rate: $20-30/hour
At NEOEx Systems, we are working on an Energy and Power System and a Liquid Hydrogen Refueling System, which will revolutionize drone transportation by providing energy and power for longer duration and range operations. We work closely with UAV manufacturers to integrate our energy and power system into their vehicles to increase flight duration.
As we continue to grow, we need help, and we are looking for a skilled and reliable Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Technician to join our team. As an I&C Technician, you will play a crucial role in installing, maintaining, and repairing instrumentation and control systems and equipment in support of facility operations, product development, and test operations. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a strong technical background and a passion for instrumentation and controls work in the growing industries of air mobility and energy.
This role will report to the Sr. Director of Operations.
Duties:
- Install, inspect, and test new instrumentation and controls systems and equipment following established electrical codes and safety guidelines
- Troubleshoot instrumentation and controls problems, identify faults, and implement appropriate solutions in a timely manner
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance on instrumentation and controls systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot and repair or replace defective instrumentation and controls components
- Perform basic AC and DC wiring of components, PLCs, relays, and timers
- Perform maintenance of alarm and SCADA systems, electrical, pneumatic and electronic controls, programmable controls, and other similar equipment
- Document all test set-up and test results into laboratory notebook or other designated retention location
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, piping and instrumentation diagrams, and electrical schematics to effectively carry out assigned tasks
- Prepare and maintain records and requisition supplies and parts
- Identify and purchase equipment based on established specifications
- Conduct other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Relevant technical certification and/or minimum of 5 years of experience in similar role
- Associate’s Degree preferred
Experience:
- Ability to use basic hand tools and a multi-meter
- Ability to use ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners, cable testers, and oscilloscopes.
- Ability to hear audible alarms
- Experience working with HMIs & PLCs and industrial computers
- Experience working with P&IDs
- Ability to travel up to 10%
Skills:
- Must be self-motivated and possess strong organizational skills.
- Must able to speak and write proficiently in the English language
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint or equivalent
Preferred Experience:
- Experience using pressure/vacuum systems, pressure gauges, and transducers
- Experience working with thermocouples
- Experience working with flowmeters, power meters, and current meters
- Experience working with intrinsic electrical equipment
