If you are an INDUSTRIAL OR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING STUDENT looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! This role is an exciting opportunity to support the Professional Tools business. Based in our ELYRIA, OH location, you will assist with many different aspects of the Quality department as a whole which will include working closely with the Quality Manager, Quality Engineer, Quality Supervisor, and Metallurgist on special projects.
You will work on the factory floor as well as in an office setting. You will work with special projects which will include the development of standardizing CMM reporting, the documentation and improvement of inspection processes, working to develop fixturing for gaging and Metallurgy Lab use, and other projects as needed.
- Assist with the daily requirements and documentation of Metallurgy and Metrology processes.
- Collaborate with the inspection department to build standard work for inspection processes.
- Work with the quality department to standardize CMM reporting and reporting standards.
- Implement and standardize outputs of CMMs for ease of data collection.
- You create a plan and outline for various audiences. You take time to ask questions and define the problem and make learning a priority and a goal. You balance planning with actions. You focus on creating an effective collaborative style.
- Undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Ability to work 40 hours/week during the scheduled semester
- Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
- Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Sophomore or higher class status
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Some coursework related to Quality or Engineering
