Interim Controller

Our client, a fast‑growing digital health technology company, is seeking an experienced Interim Controller to lead critical accounting operations during year‑end close and audit preparation.

The role offers a hybrid work arrangement based in Emeryville, CA, with occasional onsite collaboration. This engagement has an expected duration of 2‑3 months.

• Prepare and review accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Direct and oversee daily accounting activities, including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and cash receipts.
• Manage annual budgets, financial forecasts, and cash flow analysis; monitor performance and analyze variances.
• Develop and implement internal controls, policies, and procedures; coordinate with external auditors for audit readiness.
• Provide financial analysis and insights to leadership to support strategic decision‑making and operational efficiency.

• Licensed CPA with Big 4 public accounting experience (required).
• Hands‑on operator with proven success in year‑end close and audit preparation.
• Proficiency in Net Suite (required).
• Experience in inventory accounting or healthcare/Med Tech industry.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge of US GAAP.

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco by Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors, including but not limited to: the individual's skill sets, experience, and training; licensure and certifications; office location and other geographic considerations; other business and organizational needs.
