Our fast-paced Class Action, Wage & Hour group is urgently seeking a Law & Motion Brief Writer with strong litigation writing skills and prior clerking experience. This role demands experience with law and motion work throughout the full life cycle of a case, including MSJs, settlement papers, and complex class/collective action filings under PAGA and FLSA. Candidates must be licensed in California, and ideally bring a strategic legal mind and a clear, persuasive writing style.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft high-level law and motion work, including dispositive motions, oppositions, and settlement-related filings
- Collaborate closely with the litigation team on class and collective actions involving wage and hour disputes
- Analyze complex legal issues and develop compelling written arguments for use in federal and state courts
Qualifications:
- Prior judicial clerkship experience required
- Minimum 3+ years of litigation experience with a focus on law & motion and class/collective actions
- Familiarity with PAGA and FLSA claims is essential
- Must be licensed to practice in California
- Two writing samples required with resume submission
Location & Flexibility:
- Hybrid role in Emeryville, CA, with fully remote options available for exceptionally qualified candidates located anywhere in the U.S.
Compensation:
- $150,000+, DOE
