Position: Infant Teacher - Active Learning Centers, Emmaus

Overview

Active Learning Centers is an award winning, family owned, Child Care looking for excellent teachers for our Infant program. We believe in fostering creativity and hands on experiences and learning for children to run, play, and explore in a nurturing and safe environment. We love what we do and love to have fun while doing it! We are looking for new team members to start with us today!

Full-Time Teacher positions available.

Competitive Teacher Pay: $15-$20 per hour depending on experience and education

All applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED, at least 18 years of age, and a clear background check.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop a careful and creative program suitable for toddlers
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.)
  • Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
  • Encourage children to interact with each other
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum
  • Routine care of toddlers including meals, snacks, cleanliness and diapering, and/or potty-training
  • Planning for daily outdoor and gross motor play
  • Daily communication with parents and a high level of customer service
  • Collaborate with other educators
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards
  • Monthly staff meetings
Do you have?
  • Proven experience as a Teacher (Infant experience is a plus)
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills
  • Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
  • Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
  • BSc/BA in education or relevant field (optional)
