Responsibilities- Monitor sales volume and product mix for maximum profitability.
- Identify and sell to profitable accounts.
- Work with profit and loss statements and estimating to determine product profit levels based on production capabilities.
- Monitor market changes and recommend adjustments for equipment, personnel, product mix, and inventory.
- Enforce procedures to ensure quality of work by sales and design staff.
- Maintain customer contact with all major accounts.
- Prepare annual budget and sales forecasts.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Four‑year college degree required.
Preferred Candidates:
- Two‑to‑four years of experience in the retail or manufacturing industry.
- Two‑to‑four years of sales experience.
Language
Skills:
Ability to read and interpret sales reports, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; write reports and correspondence; create effective PowerPoint presentations; speak effectively before customer or employee groups.
Mathematical
Skills:
Ability to calculate discounts, costs, profits, proportions, percentages, and volume.
Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out written, oral, or graphic instructions; negotiate positive outcomes for Pratt and its customers.
Physical DemandsRegularly required to walk, talk, and hear, stand, and sit. Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentRequires the ability to drive a car with a good driving record. Exposure to moving mechanical parts and a noisy plant environment.
