Join our multidisciplinary team of 11 engineers, where you’ll help in the industrialization and support of serial production of launch vehicle structures in Emmen (LU). You’ll work in a multicultural environment, closely collaborating with development engineering and our operations organization, engaging with a broad range of technologies. Your mission
  • Conducts and leads analysis tasks without supervision within his dedicated field. Conduct high‑complexity tasks with or without supervision:
    • Define analysis approaches to investigate mechanical design problems, changes and improvements, and verify solutions.
    • Provide inputs to technical and procurement specifications.
    • Establish analysis methods and create and maintain mathematical models for static and dynamic FE analysis.
    • Perform static and dynamic analysis and updates/improvements thereof to support the evolution of the product.
    • Perform detailed stress and strength verification analysis.
    • Perform test predictions, test evaluations and correlations.
    • Perform mass reviews and inputs into ADPs.
    • Perform flight predictions and post‑flight evaluations. Support post‑flight findings resolution.
  • Supports his engineering field during product development, production support, innovation, and project.
  • Participates in NRBs (Non‑Conformance Review Board) according to the NC process. Actively proposes technical solutions in his field of activity. Implements lessons learned.
  • Proactively communicates and aligns cross‑functionally with adjacent engineering fields and departments outside engineering such as operations, quality, procurement, and other teams.
  • Supports processes and product continuous improvements to deliver in line with customer quality, cost, and demand. Proposes market‑oriented initiatives to improve existing products, technologies, and production processes.
  • Writes and reviews technical documentation (e.g., test plan, analysis reports), project‑related deliverables and other specifications related to his field of work. Adapts to product‑ and mission‑specific requirements.
  • Utilizes project management techniques/tools to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements. Supports technical lead in progress reporting.
  • Understands and complies with internal BPM.
  • Work package/Task manager. Owns technical, budget and schedule responsibility for fulfilment of tasks assigned by projects.
  • Supports his engineering field during negotiations and reviews with customers and suppliers or subcontractors.
  • Onboards peers. Provides assistance in the ramping up of newcomers.
  • Co‑works in the bidding team for proposal and quotations.
  • Participates in the recruitment process.
  • Coaches interns, students, contractors, and junior engineers.
Your profile
  • University/ETH master’s degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in an aerospace company (or equivalent relevant experience) in the fields of:
    • FE analysis with NASTRAN, Hyperworks and/or Abaqus.
    • Detailed stress analysis.
    • Mechanical engineering.
  • Advanced knowledge in FE analysis with the solver NASTRAN, Hyperworks and/or ABAQUS to efficiently create FE models and perform analysis.
  • Advanced English language skills (reading, writing and speaking).
Nice to have’s
  • Experience in analysis of payload fairing and other launcher structures.
