Emporia State University is seeking applications for an Administrative Specialist for the School of Visual & Performing Arts Deans Office. This is a 12-month onsite position, benefits eligible and based in Emporia, KS.

- Have the ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multitask to meet deadlines.
- Have the ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively with a team.
- Put your skills and abilities to work in a fast-paced, dynamic university environment.
- Provide support to the units within the school and assist in optimal operation.
- Assist Students and Faculty and respond to initial program inquiries and unit/school emails.
- Answer Phones, greet visitors, copy, file, monitor supplies, and compose documents.
- Initiate forms, assist in compiling data, data entry, and maintain databases.
- Organize and help with school events.
- Coordinate the completion of paperwork, while maintaining budgets.
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 4+ years of administrative or office support experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, with at least 1 year of administrative or office experience
- One year of experience managing budgets and/or governmental purchasing
- Familiarity with Banner, Quicken, Quickbooks, or other budgeting systems
- Salary: $18.47 - $19.90 hourly
- Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
