Environmental Health Safety Coordinator

The Safety & Security Coordinator will oversee and manage company-wide programs in Safety, Security, and Environmental Compliance. You’ll ensure our workplace stays safe, secure, and compliant by maintaining accurate records, leading training, enforcing rules, and collaborating across departments.

• Investigate accidents and lead prevention initiatives.
• Conduct plant-wide safety and housekeeping audits.
• Develop and deliver safety training; maintain training records.
• Lead equipment/fixture safety reviews, PPE evaluations and selection.
• Manage first responder program, fire‑response team training & first aid.
• Oversee facility‑wide safety labelling/markings.

• Maintain all security systems (locks, badges, access control).
• Track keys/locks inventory; manage employee badge and automated door systems.
• Develop and maintain emergency response program.
• Supervise on‑site security personnel; manage security lighting, alarms, fire‑extinguishers.
• Manage governmental compliance and reporting (e.g., SARA, CERCLA).
• Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and teams across the company to drive safety, security and compliance practices.
• Liaise directly with OSHA, insurance providers, fire departments, sprinkler system certifiers and other regulatory partners.

• High school diploma required; technical education preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience; supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to engage with managers and employees at all levels.
• Solid knowledge of safety principles, hazard recognition, training program development.
• Strong independent judgment, initiative, and communication skills (written & oral).
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills a plus.
