• Understand and comply with Quality, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), American Institute of Baking (AIB), Micro Cleaning & Sanitization (C&S), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS), and safety standards and guidelines.
• Assist with startup, changeovers, and line shutdowns of automated and manual equipment throughout the production facility.
• Perform housekeeping activities per the master sanitation schedule and participate in area housekeeping assessments to meet GMP, FDA, and AIB requirements.
• Support line operations during lunches, breaks, and coverage for open positions.
• Assist with finished goods preparation and inspection, including top cap placement, inspection checklists, legible date codes, and quality of bag seals.
• Manage production line waste removal and disposal according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
• Clean and sanitize equipment throughout production areas during operation. Trained in lockout tagout (LOTO), chemical handling, PPE, etc.
• Identify and report food safety issues to management; understand and comply with Hill’s policies, safety standards, GMPs, and food safety guidelines.
• Manage dump back/regrind/reblend product movement as part of production processes.
• Support packaging lines with staging of resources based on production schedule, including hand stacking of all bag sizes.
• Attend Shift Transition Meetings to understand current shift production schedule.
• Contribute additional work hours as needed to meet business demands.

• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• Ability to work an off shift (either 3 PM to 11:30 PM or 11 PM to 7:30 AM) and weekends required.
• Ability to push totes containing product up to 750 lbs; ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Ability to use a stand-up or sit-down forklift intermittently for up to 12 hours per day.
• Ability to walk unlimited distances each day.
• Willingness to work any shift schedule, including nights and weekends (preferred).
