QC Line Inspector EM- Flex Pouch Production

Audit production and packaging processes for compliance to customer specifications. Recommend timely adjustments to improve compliance.

• Ensure the quality of the product is up to customer standards, including:
  • Product weights to be monitored and recorded.
  • Checking color, odor and texture.
  • Checking seal integrity and performing burst testing.
  • Product code, fill temperature, and quality checks.
• Complete tear downs for each seamer head on the running seamer.
• Notify supervisor of any out of specification measurements after recheck is confirmed and fill out documentation as required.
• Record information on the Quality log sheets and input all data in the Quality control computer at the QC station for further review.
• Participate as a member of the team. Participate in ongoing development, communication and implementation of team concepts, programs and policies; coordinate work to ensure best practices with all team members, attend appropriate team meetings, foster strong cohesiveness regarding all major issues, e.g., direction, annual plan, budget, policy changes, etc., bring to the attention of the team leader any areas that lack cohesiveness, resolve issues and actively look for ways to reinforce actions needed to achieve synergy within the larger organization.
• Familiar with Simmons' established operating systems (e.g. quality, security, office environment, company policies); understand the responsibility to maintain familiarity with the systems and this position’s role in support of these systems - including a consideration of the impact of individual actions on the systems and the responsibility to communicate concerns and improvement ideas.
• Performs other duties as necessary in support of business objectives.
