This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Personal Care Specialist in Canada.

This role plays a vital part in supporting patients throughout their treatment journey, ensuring they receive timely, informed, and compassionate assistance. You will act as the primary point of contact for patients, guiding them through reimbursement processes, insurance coordination, and pharmacy support services. The position requires strong communication and problem‑solving skills to help patients navigate complex healthcare and coverage systems with confidence.

Working in a remote environment, you will collaborate closely with pharmacies, insurers, and field case managers to ensure seamless access to medication. You will also contribute to improving patient experience by anticipating challenges and delivering personalized solutions. This is a highly meaningful role where empathy, precision, and coordination directly impact patient care outcomes.

Accountabilities
  • Serve as the main contact for patients, supporting them through reimbursement, copay assistance, and pharmacy coordination.
  • Educate patients on available program services, including injection training, coverage support, and pharmacy options.
  • Coordinate prescription coverage, renewals, and approvals with pharmacies, insurance providers, and healthcare partners.
  • Collaborate with field case managers and care teams to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing patient support.
  • Adapt support approaches based on different clinic, pharmacy, and territory‑specific requirements.
  • Proactively identify and resolve barriers to medication access, offering tailored solutions for each patient.
  • Manage adverse event reporting and contribute to additional program‑related tasks as needed.
  • Participate in team discussions, sharing insights and supporting communication and alignment across stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps and contributing to solution implementation.
  • Act as a role model within the team, promoting collaboration, adaptability, and patient‑centered care.
Requirements
  • Experience in a customer service environment, preferably in healthcare or patient support settings.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is considered an asset (required for Quebec/New Brunswick roles).
  • Post‑secondary education (certificate, diploma, or degree) is preferred.
  • Experience in reimbursement, pharmacy operations, call centers, insurance, or clinical support is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent phone etiquette.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with teams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using digital tools and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce is an asset).
  • Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and ambiguity.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with empathy, patience, and a commitment to service excellence.
  • Ability to remain composed and effective in stressful or high‑pressure situations.
Benefits
  • Salary range between CAD 60,800 and 93,610 annually.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Support for mental, emotional, and financial well‑being.
  • Remote work flexibility.
  • Paid parental leave, caregiver leave, and family support programs.
  • Backup dependent care, adoption assistance, and fertility support.
  • Access to training programs, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
  • Participation in employee resource groups and volunteer initiatives.
  • Inclusive and supportive workplace culture focused on growth and well‑being.
