Role DescriptionThis is a contract-based hybrid role for a Psychotherapist, RP/RSW, located in Belleville, ON, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements and in-person appointments in Belleville, ON. The role involves conducting one-on-one, providing counseling and support for relationship issues and mental health concerns, and collaboratively creating treatment plans tailored to client goals. The psychotherapist will maintain accurate and confidential client records, stay up-to-date with best practices in psychotherapy, and work in alignment with ethical guidelines.
Qualifications- Strong foundation in Psychology, Mental Health, and Counseling
- Proficiency in Relationship Counseling and experience addressing interpersonal challenges
- Understanding of Medicine as it relates to mental health and therapy
- Licensed or registered as a psychotherapist in Ontario, meeting regulatory standards
- Excellent communication, empathy, and active listening skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work setting
- Experience in trauma-informed care or specific therapeutic modalities is considered an asset
- Master’s degree in psychotherapy, counseling, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience following completion of a Master's degree.
- Minimum 2–3 years of direct psychotherapy or counselling experience.
- Training and experience in evidence-based modalities such as CBT, ACT, DBT, EFT, SFBT, and trauma-informed approaches.
- Experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, relationship concerns, grief, and life transitions.
- EMDR training or certification is considered a strong asset.
- Experience providing couples counselling and relationship therapy.
- Experience working within private practice, EAP, MVA/HCAI, WSIB, or insurance-funded settings.
- Demonstrated experience conducting mental health assessments, treatment planning, and risk assessments.
- Multilingual abilities and experience working with diverse populations are considered assets.
- Additional certifications or specialized training in areas such as Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, or other evidence-based therapeutic approaches are welcomed.
