Overview
Pet Care Technician / Front Desk Associate at Paw Commons Pet Resort. This dual-role combines animal care expertise with front desk operations, including client communication, facility maintenance, and administrative support. The role collaborates across departments to uphold service excellence, operational efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.

Location Management, Grooming & Training Teams
- Pet Care & Facility Operations:
Administer feedings, medications, and monitor water intake per veterinary guidelines. Observe and report changes in animal health or behavior to management promptly. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the daycare, lobby, and animal enclosures. - Client Service & Communication:
Manage check-ins/check-outs. Provide clients with updates on pet health, behavior, or incidents using positive language and the Bad Words Better Replacements approach. Handle reservations, phone inquiries, and resolve concerns with professionalism. - Administrative Support:
Maintain accurate records in Gingr for pet health, client interactions, and service details. Reconcile cash drawers, manage tips, and document transactions at shift end. Monitor inventory (food, cleaning supplies, medications) and report shortages. - Training & Team Development:
Assist in onboarding new staff on pet care protocols, safety procedures, and customer service standards. Promote teamwork by mentoring peers and sharing best practices.

Balances pet care and administrative tasks to maintain smooth facility operations. - Adaptability:
Extends to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Accountability:
Upholds safety protocols, company policies, and ethical animal handling. - Collaboration:
Fosters teamwork across departments to deliver a unified client experience.
- Experience:
Prior experience in animal care, customer service, or hospitality preferred. - Familiarity with pet health monitoring, feeding schedules, and basic medical administration is a plus.
- Strong customer service orientation and ability to resolve client concerns professionally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft platforms (Outlook, Excel, Teams) and Gingr software (training provided).
- Organizational skills for multitasking between pet care duties, reservations, and record-keeping.
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, and work in noisy or humid conditions.
- Fluency in English (bilingual skills encouraged).
- Certifications such as Fear Free, Pet First Aid/CPR, or similar credentials are a plus.
- High school diploma or GED recommended.
