Senior Loan Processor / Loan Operations Specialist

On-site | Southern California (Encinitas preferred / Riverside option available)

We are a well-established financial institution seeking an experienced Senior Loan Processor / Loan Operations Specialist to join our Loan Operations team. This role supports loan processing, loan booking, and servicing functions and is ideal for someone who knows loan documentation inside and out and wants long-term stability with growth potential.

• Process loans from approval through closing and funding
• Review loan documentation for accuracy, compliance, and completeness
• Coordinate with lenders, escrow/title, legal, and internal teams
• Book new loans into the core system and support post-closing activities
• Process funding requests and loan draw transactions
• Support loan servicing and maintenance functions as needed
• Serve as a key backup to senior team members within Loan Operations
• Identify process improvements and help strengthen internal controls

• 5+ years of loan processing or loan operations experience
• Banking experience strongly preferred (Escrow or title professionals with heavy loan document exposure will be considered)
• Strong understanding of loan documentation and closing workflows
• Experience with loan booking and funding
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in an on-site team environment

• Experience with FIS / Fiserv or similar core systems
• Commercial loan exposure
• Interest in growing into a senior or leadership support role
