This is a Full-Time position (80 hours per pay period) with an 8‑hour EVENING shift located at our Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas.

• Assisting with OR bed set‑ups.
• Assisting with equipment and supplies.
• Housekeeping duties to turn over rooms between cases.
• Assisting in positioning patients for procedures.
• Assisting in transporting patients.
• Assisting with transporting labs/specimens.
• Providing excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team.
• Assisting patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collecting data, and ensuring the patient has a safe, organized environment.
• Assisting with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician.
• Supporting the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.

• Must be able to speak, read, and follow instruction in English.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for health care providers.

• Multiple patient care skills preferred.
• Prefer one year experience in a health care related field, sterile processing, patient transport or equivalent responsibilities.
