Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Encinitas, CA | Acute Care

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery unit throughout the full perinatal continuum
• Perform fetal monitoring and interpret findings in accordance with AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring standards
• Function as OR circulator for cesarean sections as required
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately within the EPIC electronic health record system
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to support maternal and neonatal patient safety and outcomes

• Active California RN License in hand at time of submission (Temporary or Permanent; no EMSA)
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required, issued within the past 2 years
• OR circulator experience for c-sections required (skills checklist must be completed)
• Minimum 2+ years of concurrent experience in Labor and Delivery
• Travel nursing experience required
• EPIC experience, or combined EPIC/Cerner experience, within the last 6 months of work history
• 1 supervisory-level reference required at time of submission
• Must live more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; candidates who have been on assignment in the San Diego area for 9 or more months are considered local and are not eligible

• Experience in a high-volume Labor and Delivery setting
• Familiarity with float requirements across related units
• Flexibility with scheduling and availability for same-day or next-business-day interviews

• No call required, offering a more predictable schedule for travel clinicians
• Opportunity to work in a well-organized health system utilizing a unified EPIC platform across all units
