JJ Food service is building a dedicated Care Home division and is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead our entry and grow and develop relationships with care home owners, operators, and multi‑site groups across the UK. This role is focused ongroup‑level agreements, strategic partnerships, and national growth within the care home sector.
Key Responsibilities- Lead our entry and growth within the care‑home food‑service market, building a strong presence and driving commercial success as we expand into this strategic sector.
- Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with care home owners and care home groups, leveraging your industry knowledge to open doors and accelerate our market penetration.
- Negotiate national and group supply agreements that secure long‑term partnerships and position us as a trusted supplier across food, hygiene, laundry, and consumable categories.
- Drive product adoption and category spend within care homes by applying your understanding of food‑service requirements specific to social care environments.
- Collaborate closely with regional sales branch managers, purchasing teams, and operations, ensuring seamless service delivery and the successful rollout of our offer into the care‑home sector.
- You bring proven experience managing national or multi‑site B2B accounts, with a strong track record of driving growth and opening new commercial opportunities.
- You have deep knowledge of the food‑service sector and hands‑on experience selling into care homes or healthcare environments, enabling you to navigate this specialist market with confidence.
- You understand the care‑home sector as a high‑value strategic growth area, and you’re motivated by the opportunity to help us enter and establish a meaningful presence in this market.
- You are commercially astute, an excellent negotiator, and able to shape compelling value propositions that resonate with decision‑makers in care‑home groups.
- You operate strategically and professionally, building strong, trust‑based relationships while identifying long‑term partnership opportunities.
