Hours of work: 8:00am – 3:30/4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only).

About the Role:

We are recruiting reliable and professional Exam Invigilators to support numerous secondary schools across Enfield during the main exam period from May to July 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain experience working in a variety of Enfield secondary schools while playing a vital role in ensuring examinations are conducted in line with regulations and procedures. Consistency and full availability Monday to Friday for the majority of the exam period is essential, as this is a critical time in the academic calendar.

The role involves supervising students during examinations, ensuring exam conditions are upheld, and providing support where required, including scribing for pupils with SEN or those unable to write independently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervising students during examinations to ensure a calm and controlled environment

• Ensuring exam regulations are strictly followed at all times

• Distributing and collecting exam papers efficiently and securely

• Supporting pupils as a scribe where required

• Monitoring attendance and reporting any concerns to senior staff

• Maintaining excellent timekeeping and professionalism throughout the exam period

Requirements:

To be eligible for this role and the stated rate of pay, applicants must have:

• Previous school experience (Teaching Assistants and candidates with school-based experience are encouraged to apply)

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to remain vigilant throughout exam sessions

• Excellent punctuality and reliability — attendance and timekeeping are essential

• The ability to work consistently Monday to Friday during the exam period

• A calm, professional manner and the ability to follow strict procedures

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
