  • EAL Support Mentor required for the London Borough of Enfield
  • EAL Support Mentor required for a long-term role starting in September
  • EAL Support Mentor ideally qualified with TESOL, TEFL or CELTA
  • EAL Support Mentor required to support students with English as an Additional Language across KS3 and KS4

Are you an experienced EAL Support Mentor looking for a rewarding role this September?

Do you hold a TESOL, TEFL or CELTA qualification and have a passion for helping multilingual learners thrive in a mainstream secondary school?

Would you like to join a welcoming and inclusive school where you can make a genuine difference to students’ confidence, language development and academic progress?

If so, this EAL Support Mentor opportunity could be the perfect role for you.

The Role

A welcoming and inclusive mainstream secondary school in the London Borough of Enfield is seeking to appoint a dedicated EAL Support Mentor to join its support team from September on a long-term basis.

As the successful EAL Support Mentor, you will work closely with students across KS3 and KS4 whose first language is not English, supporting them to develop their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills so they can fully access the curriculum. You will deliver targeted interventions, provide both in-class and small-group support, work alongside teaching staff to adapt learning where appropriate, monitor students’ language development and encourage confidence both inside and outside the classroom.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised TESOL, TEFL or CELTA qualification (or equivalent) and have previous experience supporting EAL learners within a secondary school or educational setting. You will be a confident communicator, culturally aware, patient and passionate about helping every student achieve their full potential.

The School

This successful mainstream secondary school in Enfield is committed to providing an inclusive learning environment where every student is valued and supported to succeed. The school has a diverse student population, a strong pastoral team and a collaborative staff culture that places inclusion at the heart of everything it does. Staff benefit from ongoing professional development, supportive leadership and excellent transport links, making this an excellent opportunity for an EAL Support Mentor looking to gain valuable experience in a thriving secondary school.
