Mechanical Engineer – Hospital Facilities

Location: Enfield EN2 8JL

Pay Rate: 26.30 per hour (Umbrella)

Shift Pattern: 4 days on 4 days off 8:00am 8:00pm

Contract: Temporary assignment from 6th July 2026 to 1st September 2026

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join a facilities management team supporting a major hospital site in Enfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with experience in building services healthcare facilities or commercial maintenance environments.

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical plant and equipment
• Responding to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns
• Diagnosing faults and undertaking repairs to mechanical systems
• Maintaining heating ventilation air conditioning and water systems
• Ensuring statutory compliance and accurate maintenance records are maintained
• Assisting with plant inspections and operational checks
• Working closely with the wider engineering and facilities teams
• Adhering to all health safety and site-specific procedures

• Previous experience working as a Mechanical Engineer within facilities management healthcare commercial or industrial environments
• Relevant mechanical engineering qualification (City & Guilds NVQ HNC/HND or equivalent)
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Good understanding of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• 26.30 per hour (Umbrella)
• 4 on / 4 off shift pattern
