Trade Compliance Specialist - Enfield, London

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Trade Compliance Specialist to join a highly respected engineering and technology organisation based in Enfield. This is a key role responsible for ensuring full compliance with UK, EU and international import and export regulations, supporting complex projects and acting as the subject matter expert across the business.

Key responsibilities include - Trade Compliance Specialist - Enfield, London

• Ensuring compliance with UK export controls, HMRC regulations, ITAR, EAR and international trade laws

• Supporting project teams and engineering with export classifications and licensing requirements

• Preparing and submitting export licence applications and maintaining accurate compliance records

• Managing customs classifications and ensuring the correct use of customs regimes

• Conducting internal audits, compliance reviews and supporting external audits

• Providing guidance, training and support to internal stakeholders on trade compliance matters

• Acting as the go to person for all trade compliance queries across the business

Experience required - ​​​​​​​Trade Compliance Specialist - Enfield, London

• 3 to 5 years experience within export control or trade compliance

• Strong knowledge of UK export licensing, customs regulations and international trade compliance

• Good understanding of legal requirements and procedures related to international trade, including import and export customs procedures, trade regulations such as TAAs, GCs, DSP-5, US Commerce Licenses, OGELs, OIELs, SIELs and F680, and logistics and shipping practices

• Experience working within engineering, manufacturing or defence environments would be highly advantageous

• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels

• High attention to detail and a proactive approach
