Insurance Director

We’re looking for a Director, Insurance to join us in Hammersmith.

The Director, Insurance will lead the optimisation of Liberty Global’s insurance strategy.

• Developing Liberty Global’s overarching insurance strategy across all current and emerging insurable risks across Property and Casualty
• Defining Liberty Global’s optimum risk financing strategy by risk (OpCo, captive, pooling, market, etc.) and assess the role of Liberty Global’s captive insurance company
• Placing and leading all Group insurance programs and work with OpCo’s to ensure effective delivery of all local programs
• Operational management of Captive Insurance Company
• Providing Insurance Services to LG Partner and Venture Markets as required (‘Federation Services’)
• Developing effective claims management process in conjunction with local Op Cos
• Identifying and delivering ancillary insurance opportunities (e.g. handset insurance, insurance marketing, etc.)

• Track record in a similar role
• Experience of handling risk activities and a thorough understanding of risk management and corporate finance
• Experience of successfully leading change and developing organizational structures and delivery
• Analytically strong and pragmatic with a long-term vision
• Ability to apply sound business practices and work with senior management
• Result driven, output focused teammate
• Qualified CIMA/ACA/FIRM
• Chartered Institute of Risk Management (CIRM)
• Associateship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII)
• Certified Member of the Institute of Risk Management (CMIRM)
