We are recruiting on behalf of a long-established flour milling company based in Ponders End. Our client specialises in the milling and packing of a wide range of flours, supplying both retail and wholesale markets. Their product range includes bread flours (white, brown, wholemeal), self-raising flour, plain flour, and various ethnic flours.

The mill has a remarkable heritage, with milling activity on the site dating back to 1067, according to historical records. The business remains family-run, now in its fifth generation, and continues to grow with significant investment in modern milling technology and workforce development. Alongside their historic Ponders End site, the company opened a state-of-the-art mill in Harlow in 2021 and launched a specialised pizza flour training centre in 2023.

They are now seeking a committed Milling Operative to join their production team on a temp-to-perm basis.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating and monitoring machinery on the milling line
Ensuring consistent quality throughout production
Maintaining cleanliness and supporting basic equipment upkeep
Recording production data and reporting any issues
Following strict health & safety procedures
Working collaboratively within a supportive team💼 Requirements:

Experience in production, food manufacturing, or milling is beneficial but not necessary as the client will train
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious💰

Salary & Benefits:

£27,500 per annum once permanent
Temp period of up to 12 weeks before permanent placement
Monday-Friday daytime hours (8am-4pm)
