This is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring our beer gets to our customers safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You'll lead and develop our packaging teams, drive operational performance, champion continuous improvement, and play a key role in shaping the future of packaging at Beavertown.

As Packaging Manager, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day performance and long-term development of our packaging operation. You'll be responsible for:

• Leading packaging operations to deliver against quality, efficiency, safety and financial targets.
• Developing and inspiring high-performing teams, building capability across all Packaging Operator and Supervisor roles.
• Creating a culture where safety is embedded in everything we do.
• Driving improvements in OEE, productivity, quality and waste reduction.
• Identifying and eliminating production bottlenecks through technical and people-focused solutions.
• Planning future operational improvements and supporting capital investment projects.
• Establishing and embedding lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement initiatives and best practice ways of working.
• Working collaboratively with Engineering, Brewing, Quality and Compliance teams to achieve shared business goals.

Our Packaging Manager will be a visible and inspiring leader who can develop talent and build strong, engaged teams so you'll also:

• Coach, mentor and develop team members and supervisors.
• Identify skills gaps and create training plans that build capability and flexibility.
• Drive a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement.
• Manage workforce planning, production scheduling and KPI reporting.
• Lead all people-management activities including performance reviews, absence management, holiday planning and employee development.
• Support the growth of Packaging Supervisors into future operational leaders and shift managers.

• Extensive experience in a packaging leadership or manufacturing management role.
• Strong experience within food, beverage or brewing production environments.
• Proven track record of improving packaging line performance and operational efficiency.
• Significant experience leading and developing production teams.
• Strong problem-solving capability within fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Hands-on experience of both kegging and canning operations.
• Understanding of HACCP and food safety principles.

• Brewery packaging management experience.
• Experience working with KHS, GPI or similar industry-leading packaging equipment.
• Knowledge of FSSC, ISO or equivalent auditing and quality systems.
• Experience implementing lean manufacturing tools including 5S, Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement programmes.
• Packaging or food and beverage manufacturing qualifications, such as a Diploma in Packaging or equivalent.

• Demonstrable leadership and coaching ability.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Data-driven decision making and performance management capability.
• Strong planning, organisation and time management skills.
• Confident reporting and record-keeping abilities.
• Intermediate Excel skills, with Power BI experience highly advantageous.
