Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive and Truck Mechanic as well as Autobody Technician to join our team. All positions available. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive service and vehicle repairs, with the ability to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle makes. This role requires proficiency in automotive body, powertrains, suspension, air brakes and steering.

The Mechanic will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers' vehicles are safe, reliable, and performing at their best.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance on our towing & recovery fleet, including oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections and repairs.
  • Evaluate and determine repairs needed accurately and report to shop foreman of findings for approval and direction.
  • Conduct inspections of commercial light‑duty and heavy‑duty vehicles to meet Connecticut and Federal DOT requirements.
  • Work on automotive electrical systems, including wiring, batteries, and lighting systems.
  • Repair or replace powertrain components as necessary to ensure optimal vehicle safety and performance.
  • Weld components as required for repairs or modifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
  • Strong knowledge of automotive service repair techniques and vehicle maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics for various automotive systems.
  • Experience with accurate repair assessments.
  • Familiarity with automotive electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Knowledge of powertrain systems and their components.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail in diagnostics and repairs.
