Currently, we are looking for a part‑time Dental Hygienist to join our family. Candidates should have a strong work ethic and be team players. Recent graduates are welcome!
Specific Responsibilities- Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, application of fluoride, and sealants
- Detect disease by completing oral cancer screening; feeling and visually examining gums, using probes to locate periodontal disease, and assessing levels of recession
- Selection of materials and equipment for a dental hygiene visit by evaluating the patient’s oral health
- Educate patients by giving oral hygiene and plaque control instructions, and postoperative instructions
- Document dental hygiene services by recording vital signs, medical and dental histories, and charting in patient charts
- Sterilization of equipment
- Take x‑rays as necessary and as recommended by the ADA

- Associate’s degree from an accredited dental hygiene program
- Valid license to practice in Connecticut (Registered Dental Hygienist, RDH)
- Available to work within current office hours, specific shifts to be determined
