Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive difference in a multicultural primary school? If so, look no further.
We seek a caring and passionate Teaching Assistant to join the team at a well‑established primary school in Winchmore Hill, Enfield. The successful candidate will work with a diverse group of children from diverse backgrounds who have English as an additional language and some mild SEN.
The ideal candidate will have experience with SEN, have a background in working with children who have English as an additional language, and have a good understanding of different cultures. We are looking for someone who is patient, empathetic and genuinely loves working with children.
The successful candidate will be expected to:- Provide classroom support for students with SEN
- Assist teachers with classroom management
- Help to develop student’s English language skills
- Support students with learning activities
- Work with teachers to develop appropriate learning strategies for students
- Provide one-to-one support to students with SEN
- Identify and assess individual student needs
- Work with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment
- Experience working with children who have SEN
- Experience working with children who have English as an additional language
- A good understanding of different cultures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and a willingness to learn
- Speak an additional language/languages
