Reception and Nursery TA

Overview

One of my lovely primary schools in Winchmore Hill are looking for an Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic and inclusive team from September. The school is a 2‑form entry primary school that has been labelled a happy, ambitious and inclusive school with a richly diverse intake of students from different cultures.

The chosen candidate will be working in reception in the morning, and they will be supporting a group of 3 children with mild SEN. In the afternoon, they will be working in nursery with a child with EAL.

• Knowledge of the EYFS
• Ability to assist and assess effectively a range of pupils, including those working below national curriculum level
• Ability to be creative and manage, motivate and inspire children
• Ability to liaise with multi‑professionals
• Ability to commit for the duration of the placement
• Creative and dynamic in their approach to teaching and learning
• Honest and compassionate
• Happy to complete training to further develop their knowledge and understanding in education.
• Enhanced DBS certificate or willing to complete one
