The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of the RE curriculum and excellent behavior management skills. The main duties of the role include:

• Planning and delivering engaging and creative lessons
• Assessing and monitoring student progress
• Keeping detailed records, and reporting on student progress
• Working in collaboration with colleagues to ensure that the highest standards of teaching are met
• Participating in extra-curricular activities, such as clubs and societies
• Liaising with parents and guardians

The successful candidate should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status
• A degree in Religious Education or a related subject
• Proven experience in teaching RE in a secondary school setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to motivate and inspire students
• A willingness to go the extra mile for students
• An understanding of the Catholic Church and its teachings
