Senior Practitioner – Integrated Learning Disability Service

Sanctuary Personnel has a new permanent position available for an Adult Senior Practitioner within the Integrated Learning Disability Service to work full time based in Enfield.

The service is based in Enfield Town, with a recently refurbished open plan office that supports smart working policies and has good transport links into Central London.

The role offers a range of benefits, including hybrid and flexible working, with a salary of up to £47,805 per annum.

The successful candidate will join the Social Work/Assessment & Care Management Services within the Integrated Learning Disabilities Service as a Senior Practitioner, providing seamless health and social care services to people with learning disabilities and their families/carers.

The service has achieved excellent integrated working across health and social care professions, with low numbers of admissions to residential care and high numbers of direct payments with good outcome-focused care and support plans.

Requirements of this Senior Practitioner job:

• Ability to speak and communicate in English, providing advice in accurate spoken and written English
• Social Work Qualification and registration with Social Work England, with a minimum of four years post-qualifying practice
• Demonstrated highly skilled professional competence in social work practice, using extensive practice knowledge and working within agreed standards of best practice and codes of conduct
• Knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework and good practice guidance that underpins Social Work practice in Adult Social Care
• Experience of completing assessments and care planning in line with the Care Act, making use of collaborative working with partner organizations
• Ability to be flexible and imaginative in practice to manage often challenging and complex situations with sensitivity and tact
• Experience of providing professional support and supervision to staff, negotiating case management tasks and assisting with supervisee’s performance and personal development
