ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Community Support Program
Program Details: The Community Support Program is a community-based rehab model designed to assist persons with serious mental illness to live independently. Community Support Specialists provide assistance with learning skills to live independently, accessing community resources, finding appropriate and affordable housing, receipt of entitlements, linking with appropriate treatment sources, coordination of care with collateral providers, assistance with money management (including representative payee or conservatorship, if necessary) and any other goals they have for their recovery.
Community Support Specialists can function as a liaison with services to the state acute care facility as well as general hospitals as necessary. They teach clients the skills necessary for meeting their own needs and provide advocacy services for access to clinical services, housing benefits and human rights. The program can be time limited or long-term, based on the needs/LOCUS score of the client.
POSITION: Program Director
Responsibilities- Provides direction and leadership within the Team.
- Ensures clients receive services that are focused on presenting problems and clients’ request for treatment.
- Directs crisis intervention efforts and intervenes as required.
- Monitors client meetings, admission, continued stay and discharge criteria.
- Reviews caseloads regularly to ensure appropriate utilization of services.
- Oversees hiring, training, and performance management of staff within the program.
- Participates in internal and external meetings as needed by program and agency.
- Ensures client, program and agency documentation is completed in a timely manner and according to program, agency, funder and accreditation/licensing standards.
- Acts as primary point person for program and provides back up coverage as needed by program and agency.
- Ensures proper maintenance of vehicles/if applicable.
- Will collaborate across teams and divisions to improve quality, workflow, and communication to improve efficiency and general outcomes.
- Ensures timely completion of reports.
- Oversees completion of chart audits.
- Ensures completion of insurance authorization for services rendered as necessary.
- Develop and executes marketing plan for program as needed.
- On call coverage during and after program hours as assigned.
- Participates in committees to improve agency service delivery and quality improvement.
- Responsible for program budgets and productivity expectations.
- Ensures compliance with regulating bodies.
- Additional duties as required.
Education: Master’s Degree in a mental health related field. Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for education in some programs.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with identified population. Two years of supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting preferred.

Compensation: Starting at $65,875/yr min., commensurate with experience. Actual rates determined at offer based on experience and internal equity. Part-time pro-ration may apply.
