Overview

Maintenance Technician role at Carris Reels, Inc.

Responsibilities
  • Examine, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machines and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on plant machines and equipment.
  • Repair and replace defective parts on plant machines and equipment.
  • Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems on a variety of industrial hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Interpret schematics and diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems for products.
  • Make adjustments necessary to ensure efficient operation.
  • Communicate with management regarding scheduling and repair status.
  • Inspect and check work prior to turning machinery back to users.
  • Perform related paperwork as instructed by supervisory personnel.
  • May work overtime.
  • Ensure adherence to all process specifications.
  • Support the Plant quality system goals, improvements, and productivity goals within the scope of the job.
Minimum

Required Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
  • High School diploma or GED and/or combination of vocational school.
  • 2-4 years repairing and/or maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical industrial equipment or related industrial machinery.
Skills, Knowledge And Abilities
  • Basic English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehension).
  • Intermediate math skills.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
  • Knowledge of hardware selection, identifying systemic root causes and process improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Tech or Trade school training certificate in related field.
  • 4 years related industrial maintenance experience performing repairs and PM on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical industrial equipment desired.
  • Able to read circuit diagrams and schematics.
  • Ability to weld with MIG and TIG highly desired.
