Overview
Maintenance Technician role at Carris Reels, Inc.
Responsibilities- Examine, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machines and equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on plant machines and equipment.
- Repair and replace defective parts on plant machines and equipment.
- Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems on a variety of industrial hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic equipment.
- Interpret schematics and diagrams to analyze and troubleshoot problems for products.
- Make adjustments necessary to ensure efficient operation.
- Communicate with management regarding scheduling and repair status.
- Inspect and check work prior to turning machinery back to users.
- Perform related paperwork as instructed by supervisory personnel.
- May work overtime.
- Ensure adherence to all process specifications.
- Support the Plant quality system goals, improvements, and productivity goals within the scope of the job.
Required Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- High School diploma or GED and/or combination of vocational school.
- 2-4 years repairing and/or maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical industrial equipment or related industrial machinery.
- Basic English (reading, writing, verbal and comprehension).
- Intermediate math skills.
- Intermediate computer skills.
- Knowledge of hardware selection, identifying systemic root causes and process improvements.
- Tech or Trade school training certificate in related field.
- 4 years related industrial maintenance experience performing repairs and PM on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical industrial equipment desired.
- Able to read circuit diagrams and schematics.
- Ability to weld with MIG and TIG highly desired.
