Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Reyes Fleet Management, one of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is seeking a Diesel Mechanic / Fleet Technician B to focus on PM services of tractors, trailers, liftgates, and reefer units at our Martin Brower shop in Enfield, CT
.
Shift: Full‑Time, Wednesday‑Saturday 2:00 pm‑12:30 am. Pay: $28.00‑$31.00/HR based on experience and qualifications.

- Preventative maintenance of fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed.
- Complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Inspect brake systems to ensure machines are in proper operating condition and that equipment has required licensing and registration.
- Use hand and power tools such as screwdrivers to perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery.
- Examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED and 2+ years of related experience.
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds.
- Must possess own tools (minimum tool requirement).
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor‑vehicle record compliant with DOT regulations to operate company vehicles.
Education and Experience
- Technical school certification.
