Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Reyes Fleet Management, one of the largest privately held fleets in the U.S., is seeking a Diesel Mechanic /Fleet Technician B to focus on the PM services of tractors, trailers, liftgates, and reefer units at our Martin Brower shop in Enfield, CT.
Shift: Full-Time Wednesday-Saturday 2:00pm-12:30am
Pay: $28.00-$31.00/HR based on experience and qualifications

- The Fleet Technician focuses on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed
- As the Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance
- You will inspect brake systems to ensure that machines are in proper operating condition and make sure that equipment has required licensing and registration
- You will use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers and perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery
- You will examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2+ years of related experience
- Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds
- Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles
