Accounting Manager

One of our leading professional services clients is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for all accounting and financial aspects along with employee relations. This position reports to the CFO and is in South Denver. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $75,000 to $90,000 per year.

Job Description:

• Coordinate and direct the development and preparation of budgets, forecasts, and projections
• Review payroll taxes and ensure timely payment of payroll and corporate taxes by payroll service
• Responsible for delivering timely and accurate financial processing, month end close, cash management reports, and balance sheet reconciliation
• Prepare and file monthly State Sales & Use Taxes
• Notify employees when time and attendance records have been satisfied to join the various benefit programs, including health and 401K Plan.
• Maintain and update employee handbook and issue handbooks to employees
• Act as liaison between department managers and staffing agencies when utilizing temporary employees

Requirements:

• Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
• Must be highly motivated and have the ability to function independently and multi-task
• Possess well-developed interpersonal and communication, verbal, and written skills

Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting.
• 3+ years of Accounting or Finance experience
• 2+ years of Sales and Service experience
