Job Description

We are a locally owned urgent care company (owned by physicians!) that has an opening for a part‑time front office, non‑clinical position. We are looking to expand our operational care support team with a qualified candidate who is a reliable and committed team player, comfortable with technology, and interested in a solid and fun team.

In this role you will provide administrative support to our back‑office clinical team and act as the main point person for all front‑office duties.

Responsibilities
  • Answer the telephone
  • Register patients on the EMR system
  • Verify insurance eligibility and collect patient payments
  • Scan documents
  • Maintain accounts receivable
  • Assist the medical team in administrative capacity
  • Greet patients and visitors with a friendly and welcoming demeanor (top priority)
  • Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
  • Check‑in patients, verify insurance information, and collect necessary paperwork
  • Assist with patient registration and update patient records
  • Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate records in the computer system
  • Manage incoming/outgoing mail, faxes, and emails
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one year experience in an administrative or front‑desk receptionist role (medical setting preferred)
  • Proficient computer skills:
    Outlook, Microsoft Word, basic EMR familiarity
  • Good written and oral communication, professional telephone etiquette
  • Understanding of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA
  • Knowledge of medical billing and coding is a plus
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast‑paced environment

Must be available full‑time (3.5 shifts per week) with weekend flexibility every other week.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay: $19.00 – $20.00 per hour.
