Child Care Specialist

• Recent college graduates:
  Psychology, special education, child development, teaching degree holders, or similar.
• Anyone with childcare experience who loves kids:
  Child care providers, paraprofessionals, babysitters, preschool teachers, day care workers, Montessori teachers or assistants, tutors, substitute teachers, childcare volunteers, Sunday School teachers, or similar.

• Offer one-on-one support to children aged 2‑6 in a clinic environment, guided by science‑backed, naturalistic therapeutic methods.
• Implement intervention plans crafted by expert clinicians in behavior analysis, speech, and occupational therapy.
• Team up with the child’s healthcare professionals to provide consistent, high‑quality care.

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Previous experience with children aged 2‑6, ideally in a professional capacity.
• Ability to achieve and maintain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification within first 6 weeks of employment (Soar will provide paid training).

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer and tablet literacy.
• Must have reliable transportation to both training location and local center. Punctuality is essential.
• Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: sit and stand frequently, shift positions quickly, lift up to 50 lbs., sit/kneel on the floor for extended periods, sit in a chair, stand, walk, and occasionally run short distances to keep up with a client.
• Preference for college graduates or people pursuing a college degree.

• $21.50 – $28.50 /hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. The initial offer hourly pay will be between $21.50 – $22.75. All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion.
