About the Role

The Project Manager I – Drilling (Substations) supports the planning, coordination, and execution of drilling and foundation work within PAR Electric’s Substations Division
. This entry‑level project management role works under the direction of senior project managers and field leadership to ensure all drilling operations are completed safely, efficiently, and to client specifications.

This position is ideal for individuals looking to build a long‑term career in project management within the power delivery and substation construction industry. The Project Manager I will gain exposure to all aspects of drilling operations, cost control, scheduling, and field coordination in a fast‑paced, safety‑driven environment.

Salary range for this position will be based on experience: $85,000 - $

What You Will Do
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of drilling and foundation projects supporting substation construction.
  • Coordinate project logistics, including equipment mobilization, material procurement, and subcontractor management.
  • Support project documentation efforts such as RFIs, change orders, submittals, and daily reports.
  • Track labor, equipment, and material costs to maintain budgetary control and accurate reporting.
  • Conduct routine job site visits to observe work progress, verify safety compliance, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Communicate effectively with field crews, engineers, and clients to resolve operational challenges.
  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, cost forecasts, and progress reports for leadership review.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Department to reinforce PAR Electric’s zero‑injury culture and compliance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Participate in project closeout activities, ensuring documentation accuracy and lessons learned are captured for future improvement.
What You Will Bring
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent field experience).
  • Experience:

    1–3 years of project coordination, construction management, or field supervision experience; prior experience in drilling, foundations, or substation construction preferred.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a detail‑oriented mindset.
  • Understanding of construction scheduling, cost tracking, and documentation processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
  • Commitment to maintaining a strong safety culture and adherence to company and client safety expectations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and adapt to fast‑changing project environments.
