If this describes you, come join our team as our next Propulsion/Ordnance/Controls Engineer!
As a component engineer on the Post-Boost Control Gas Generator team, you will be responsible for ensuring the design meets our technical and design requirements. You will ensure our designs adhere to Common Integrated Processes as documented in Command Media, and drive process improvement into the design culture. Provide solution based technical mentoring to improve program performance and to drive error free design using proven tools, processes and predictive measures.
The selected hire will be support the design and production of the current Post-Boost Control System Gas Generator to meet the increased performance demands of the LE mission. The candidate will also be support testing, requalification and integration support.
Travel may be required.
Basic QualificationsBachelors or higher Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Related Field
Understanding of basic mechanical or propulsion engineering principals.
Desire and ability to own technical challenges through solutions
Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.
Ship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Desired SkillsExperience with production or manufacturing of energetics materials.
Any combination of experience with supplier management or project management.
Experience with Statements of Work
Experience with Technical Evaluations
Experience in gas/fluid dynamics or energetics/propellants
Experience with CAD and hardware modeling tools (e.g. Solid Works/CREO, Matlab)
Exposure in failure investigations or nonconformance investigations.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
