Loveland, Ohio; and Mount Vernon, Ohio. Beehive manufactures exclusively in the USA, and this role can be located at our Englewood, Colorado or Loveland, Ohio facility.
We are seeking a Principal Engineer, Compressor Module Leader responsible for executing the design, analysis, evaluation, and assembly of the compressor module in an aviation jet engine. The role requires ensuring compliance with industry standards and program requirements while evaluating system effects on components and assemblies.
What You’ll Do- Utilize compressor design with industry-leading analytical tools and support mechanical and aero analysis to meet module requirements.
- Lead engine system or component test programs from a hardware design perspective, setting test objectives, limits, instrumentation, data requirements, and test planning.
- Act as the component design subject matter expert within a diverse system design team, ensuring products and subsystems meet overall requirements from a design perspective.
- Coordinate with analysis engineers and conduct design optimization studies to meet product requirements.
- Lead design reviews and collaborate with disciplines in performance, controls, stress, life, additive manufacturing, materials, and system analysis.
- Provide timely communications on significant issues or developments.
- Participate in R&D of additive design technologies, advising on improvements through additive manufacturing.
- Initially serve as an individual contributor, later expanding design capability and possibly future team leadership.
- Ensure proper documentation of technical data consistent with engineering best practices.
- Work with suppliers to procure hardware and resolve producibility and quality issues.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college.
- At least 12 years of experience in gas turbine component design.
- Strong proficiency with design software tools (CAD, ANSYS, CFD, etc.).
- Experience working with compressors for aviation product applications from mechanical and aero design perspectives.
- Experience with additive manufacturing technologies and familiarity with design for additive manufacturing principles.
- Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance (U.S. citizenship required).

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $160,000–$190,000 base salary. Wage information is a general guideline only; factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions will be considered when extending an offer.
