It starts with our culture. Common sense has never been common. When a banker looks at a client, we see more than a number – we see a dad, a mom, a graduate, or a business owner. Our bankers understand the complexities of people’s lives and offer simple solutions. The basics of our culture are Relationships, Fairness, and Simplicity®. We believe in equity, diversity, and inclusion and are committed to the growth, revitalization, and sustainability of the communities we serve.

This position is ideal for someone looking to build a career in finance. We provide training and coaching throughout your onboarding experience and throughout the job. As you demonstrate success, there will be opportunities for advancement within our organization.

Responsibilities

As an SBA Senior Credit Approval Officer, you will support SBA Business Development Officers and Bankers in structuring and analyzing SBA transactions for existing and prospective clients. Underwrite new SBA credit requests in conjunction with internal and external regulation and compliance requirements, including but not limited to NBH Credit Policy, NBH SBA Credit Policy, SBA SOP (Origination Manual), SBA SOP (Servicing Manual), BSA, OFAC, and applicable federal and state laws.

Review application documents, spread financials, analyze financial performance and metrics, identify credit risks and mitigating factors, and review third‑party reports such as credit bureau data, appraisals, or valuations from initial analysis through closing. Assist in loan closing, including satisfying closing conditions of approval, documentation, and equity injection reviews.
