Pre-Authorization Specialist – Englewood, CO

Reporting to: Revenue Cycle Manager

Radiology Imaging Associates (RIA) is a leading radiology practice. In this role you will be responsible for prior authorizations of all RIA Endovascular procedures, ensuring efficiency and a positive patient experience.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Review and process authorization requests for procedures and imaging, ensuring accurate CPT codes and documentation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payer policies and guidelines.
  • Communicate with insurance companies to verify coverage, resolve denials, and appeal when necessary.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to obtain required clinical information.
  • Track authorization status in EMR, maintain detailed records, and generate reports on denials and turnaround times.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies, suggest improvements, and train new staff on reauthorization best practices.
Qualifications
  • Experience with CPT coding, insurance verification, and prior authorizations.
  • Insurance knowledge and pre-authorization requirements.
  • Medical terminology knowledge.
  • Strong verbal and written communication; excellent phone etiquette.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
Compensation

Hourly rate: $19–$24 per hour. This estimate is based on non‑discriminatory factors and reflects current Colorado law. The position remains open until filled.

Full‑time employees become eligible for benefits on the 1st day of the month following 30 days of employment. Part‑time employees may receive certain benefits on a pro‑rated basis. PRN employees are not eligible for benefits.
